Patching up The Boy’s Shorts
This post has now been downgraded and lost its project status, after I came to my senses and wrote myself some guidelines.
Remember those spotty shorts I made for the boy during the Kids Clothes Week Challenge? Well, he came home from playing on the half-pipe at the local playground with a big rip in the seat of the shorts, caused by running up to the top of the half-pipe and then sliding down on his bottom, like it was a slide! And then he was surprised that the fabric had worn away. Oh well. Thank goodness for Bondaweb and scrap fabric. I managed to fix the whole problem pretty easily, patching the worn seat up with some matching fabric from my scraps, some Bondaweb and a zigzag stitch. Good as new!
The boy has promised to only wear old jeans if he is going to the park to slide down the rough concrete half-pipe in future. Good lad.
Love your blog! I may just have to dust off the ol’ sewing machine and try a couple of your projects. Thanks!
